We were honored to welcome Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) President of Cagayan State University (CSU) (second from the right), to the C&E ALS booth during the 2025 PASUC Midterm Convention and General Assembly.
Thank you, Dr. Ibañez, for taking the time to engage with us and for supporting our mission of delivering SMART, RELEVANT, and COMPLETE solutions for SUCs.
Thank you to every SUC leader, educator, and changemaker who visited our booth and explored SMART, RELEVANT, and COMPLETE solutions with us. 💡 Your insights fuel our commitment to building a future-ready education ecosystem. Here’s to driving even more innovation, equity, and transformation in education!
Day 2 of #EdConnect2025 was all about taking things further: deeper dives, richer insights, and future-forward conversations. Thank you to every speaker, panelist, and participant who helped shape this moment.
Let's keep the momentum going. Until the next #edConnect!
Ang daming activities to improve education daw, conferences at training plus programs for development.
Nakakatawa lang kasi noong 80's pinadala ako ng kompanya ko sa isang Labor conference sponsored ng ILO for the Department of Labor na facilitated by Ms. Nieves Confessor. I went to our personnel department and collected informations from operating units as well and I summarized all the feedbacks I got and shared it in the conference.
1. Eight out of ten applying for positions failed the qualifying test mostly in psychological testing on abstract reasoning and math.
2. Our operations group said tell the schools to educate the students and not overload them with useless subjects that they know little of. Schools should focus only on what they know best. That is prepare students how to think and we will train them for the task on the job.
Just lately, I attended a youth symposium on the role of students in national development. As I simply want to ask how DepEd defines Quality Education but after they read Sec. Angara's prepared statement they immediately left unmindful of the students' feedback and questions.
Almost 40 years after, the problem remains and I am still asking what is quality education and what is the role of our institutions in attaining this? And those who are in-charged seems unmindful and do not care.
The crisis in education started a long time ago, indifference, corruption and politics made it a reality.
What we are suffering today will continue unless we start making our schools learning institutions instead of rote teaching as practiced in most classrooms today.

Its not just about building schools and providing access to internet, the whole story of education is empowering the students to become participants in the process of nation building using teachers and administrators as facilitators of their individual growth (eudaimonia) in Greek.
Hanggang ngayon di pa rin ninyo tumbok yung problema ...
We keep hearing empower education, increase our spending. That is foolish you cannot do that to an obsolete system. Our education is configured to the 2nd industrial revolution at best the 3rd. Rote learning is pervasive, it does not make sense. Its a batch type manufacturing process of the factory age; using typical quality practices of accept and reject.
Hate to say it but the system is beyond repair, no amount of marginal improvement will correct the whole system of education. You can continously improve the cathode ray tube but in the era of internet TV all your efforts will be useless.
Politicians and bureacrats claims statistical growth by improving teaching. Teaching is not always delivering learning and growth does not always mean progress. You can grow the cemetery but its imposible to demand progress, its for the dead.
We need to keep it simple to a certain extent stupid. Education is always about two people, the mentor and the learner. Improving the process is the key. Anything on the peripherals can perhaps help but are not that effective. Our approach today is making education efficient, making an obsolete system efficient produces lots of waste. The first question to ask is, is it effective?
Just look at the narratives on social media, and you will see the quality of reasoning. It is contributing to the growth of mass stupidity in our country that will hinder progress.
